Comments

  1. Hi pavelevap, you sure can. The unique ID that Product Importer Deluxe uses is the SKU, all you need to do is make sure your SKU matches the Product within your WP e-Commerce store and provide the additional/new Product details in your CSV file.

For instance, the columns in your CSV file would be:

    SKU | Name | Category | Price | Quantity

  2. Hi, I have several hundreds items in my store. I would like to know if it is possible to update prices with this import plugin? Example – every product has its own catalogue ID (I can store it for example in custom field) and every month I would like to upload and replace prices (from my Excel – .csv) and quantity based on catalogue ID. I am not sure if is it possible with this plugin? Thank you for your answer.

  3. Hi Robert, I’ve been provided a sample CSV to reproduce the category creation issue and am working to resolve it and release a Plugin update for it 🙂 I’ll keep you in the loop here on this page 🙂

  4. Thanks for the quick response. It’s nice to see developers have this kind of interaction.

  5. Hi Johann, from memory there is no filtering on the Product Name so it may be part of the CSV reading function that’s stripping it out. I’ll see what function is filtering that character out and add an international language option at import time in the next Plugin update.

  6. I’ve got a CSV file that follows the following format. Will your plugin handle importing this data?

    1 UNIQUE_KEY Unique Identifier created as combination of INVENTORY_KEY & SIZE_INDEX
    2 PRODUCT_TITLE Includes Manufacturer?s name
3 PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION Description of product features

  7. Thanks Michael,

Just keep me posted when it’s ready. I am ready to start adding the whole database to my site.

    thank you,
    Robert

  8. Hi Robert, now that the category-linking issue is on it’s way to being resolved I’ll reintroduce that code for Brands and push out another update before support for WP e-Commerce 3.8. I’ll do that later this afternoon.

  9. thanks Michael,

what about the (Brands) group, Nothing I did made the Brands “sub group” get created.

The “Brands” group already exist and has brands already, i.e. Canon, Nikon, Pentax etc. and I am trying to add the above.

the Brands group would be a parallel group, such as

    Binoculars & Telescopes>Microscopes & Accessories|Brands>Astrodon

do you have any thoughts about that.

  10. Hi guys, I’ve been banging my head against the wall since the weekend, you can now link Products to as far as 3 levels deep, with more to come once I switch to a recursive solution.

    This means:

    Crossbow>Scope>10x – will work (3 levels)
    Binoculars & Telescopes>GPS / Rangefinders / Outdoor – will work (2 levels)
    Binoculars & Telescopes>GPS / Rangefinders / Outdoor>GPS Accessories – will work (3 levels)

I’ll continue to enhance this category linking feature in future Plugin updates, for now ensure you set the base Parent Category (e.g. Crossbow) and then build up with your Categories (separated by ‘>’ for sub-categories). Hope this helps, thanks for your patience.

  11. Thanks Bruno,

I just noticed the Tags were not imported on the products side.

I had them separated with ” | ” (pipe) just like the sample csv file.

    any thoughts about that???

      • Ok, the tags were imported but they were imported (as is) with pipe shown.

meaning I got one tag like so:

        Tags Used
        X Flash|Lighting|Light Stands and Grip|Light Stands|Brands|Avenger

the sample csv file uses pipe to separate them, should I use commas instead??

  12. Holly molly!!! That is the best $95.00 I ever spend. I am still experimenting with 6 items at a time, the product importer worked great LOVE IT.

  13. Hi Robert, no need for Gold Cart unless you’re assigning multiple Product image filenames via CSV, in the future I’ll add support for manually importing multiple Product images as well as File Downloads using this method.

For now I’m working hard to resolve the category-linking issue affecting sub-directories, I’m making process (reduced the number of duplicates) and will make an urgent Plugin update ASAP. Thanks!

    Hello,

I've purchased this product and it's working fantastically, a little slow importing/merging change, however this isn't an issue.

Please can you point me in the direction or provide information for adding additional import field, I've purchased a plugin called Product Price Info and would like to bulk import this information.

    Thanks in Advance.

Hello, iv been first using your plug in since it was first developed. I have 22 woocommerce stores with over 10,000 products a store. So i have a lot of importing to do. Once woocommerce came out with their own i started using theirs but its been no where as good as yours. With their plug in i can only import upto 50 products at a time and i keep getting duplicates that drive me annoying. I have to convert 1' 9MB excel file into 1,000 excel files. With your plug in i just keep importing the same excel file and it keeps importing without any doubles. Your picture placing is easier and i like your excel format. Its so much better than Woo's and i have so much to import. Thank you for your work and keep it coming :)
