Product Description

This user-friendly Product importer, with clear step-by-step instructions helps you import and update Products, Variations, Categories, Tags, and other Product details into your WordPress-powered store.

After successfully importing tens of thousands of Products across hundreds of WP e-Commerce, Jigoshop, WooCommerce and Exchange stores Product Importer Deluxe has become the standard for store owners and web developers to bulk import Products, Variations, Categories, Tags, Brands.

Product Importer Deluxe can merge Product changes against existing Products with live and post-import reporting.

Variations, Categories, Tags, Brands, Images and other Product details assigned to Products within the CSV file are all generated at import time making setting up your next store a simple one-step import process. 1. Hi,

Can I use your plugin to add my stock to my products?

This is the file I have csv

    • Hi Sylvia, have responded via Facebook too 🙂 Yes you can import stock changes to Products, you will need to add a row at the start of your CSV file with the column headers, in your case:

      Product ID (or SKU)

  2. Hi,

We’re looking for a solution where we can export our simple and variable products (woocommerce), adjust stock, and then reimport them quickly. Would a combination of store exporter deluxe and product importer deluxe do this (other solutions we’ve tried seem to require different information for importing than they export, which is kind of painful)? Thanks!

    • Hi allhart, if you include the Product ID in the exports then both the simple Products and individual variants can be updated using the merge Products import method 🙂

    • Hi KJSwebdesign, we do not support WPML at this time, when time permits we’ll introduce support for this and announce it on the Blog.

  3. HI, we use Product Exporter Std which works great but we need to also include custom product fields when exporting. Will the deluxe version allow us to do this

    • Hi rodrayner, Store Exporter Deluxe includes support for exporting custom Product details, we will be adding custom Product meta support in Product Importer Deluxe in the new year’s update 🙂

  4. Hey there! Looking at purchasing this. I will be importing .txt files via FTP. I was happy to see that you said scheduling imports should be available after the new year!

Question before I buy – Is there a way to only import selective items in the file based on a variable (like only certain categories, etc.)?

    Thanks a lot!

    • Hi there. Still waiting on a response on this one. Thanks!

  5. My need is to import AUTOMATICALLY every hour the quantity of stock every single product from a sheet xml loaded ftp and to export automatically orders occurred in the day as well. Are PID/PED suitable about it?

    • Hi fragor, we will be announcing a port of our Scheduled Exports engine over to PID in the new year to process automatic imports, you can trigger CSV imports via CRON with a custom URL request with our current Plugin but the XML file format is not yet supported.

  6. Hello!

I just bought your deluxe exporter, which is awesome 🙂 I was just wondering, just like the exporter, is this importer able to do cron jobs and automatically import product from an FTP account?

    • Hi Rocky, sure can! We’ll be upgrading all PID customers to Store Importer Deluxe this month so that you can import more than just Products, this will be a free upgrade for PID users 🙂

  7. HI Michael,

Still awaiting replies to premium support tickets regarding this plugin

Plugin is importing variations as individual products and not as variations
of a main product which is not helpful when importing lots of variations
of stock based on size 🙂

    Please respond asap

    Many thanks and blessings!

    Carl 🙂

  8. Hey guys. Loving this plugin except that the CSV file I import seems to ignore the ‘price’ and ‘sale price’ column data. Makes the plugin a little useless, don’t you think?

  9. Hi Michael,

    Carl here .
I put in a premium support ticket on Friday and also one on
Monday and didn’t hear back yet.

The importer is freezing at a php error when importing.
I did a test with a couple of products with a couple of
variations each based on how variations are done in the
CSV that I generated using product exporter to export
a product that I manually set up variations for in the
    woo shop

I did screen shots and put a link in the support
tickets so you can see the screen shots.

I also included a link to the CSV I used

Can you have a look at those tickets asap
and get back to me as I have to finish off
    this shop for client

    Many thanks and blessings!

    Carl 🙂

    • Hi Carl, I’ll dig up your topic if we haven’t already responded, this flare-up with WooCommerce 2.2.5-2.2.6 has caught us off guard as we were preparing a major Plugin update for Store Exporter Deluxe, I’ll respond immediately, thanks for your patience 🙂

  10. HI Michael,

Another question regarding product importer deluxe

    Custom Fields

The theme I am using has custom fields for displaying products

    Theses are examples:

pt_product_flip_animation and the value is either: on or off

(This shows a front and back view of a garment)

slide_template and the value is : default

(This shows product in a theme location)

    total_sales and the value is : 1 or 0

    (Shows total sales)

there are a couple of other fields that I am also looking at

Does product importer deluxe has the ability to import custom fields?

    Many Thanks and blessings!

    • Hi Carl, we do not yet support importing Custom Fields but it’s on the list and now that Custom Fields support has been added across our Store Exporter Plugin it won’t be far off for our importer 🙂

      • Hi Michael –

any ideas on time frame for custom fields as each of my products has at least 2 custom fields .
        Many thanks and blessings!

        Carl 🙂

        • Hi Carl, Friday I’m booked up on other work but will be getting this added on Monday for release in the next Plugin update 🙂

  11. Hi Michael,

We work in web design and currently building 2 ecom shops for client using woo commerce.

I have asked client to buy your product importer deluxe so I expect they will do that on monday

Just for your information I looked at two other product importer solutions before choosing yours based on based on your functionality and up to date support of the products you supply.

I have a question which applies both to your importer and also is dependent on whether there is such a fntion in woo commerce shop. (I’ve up til now not been able to find an answer for this… )

Client is manufacturer of clothing and starting wholesale and retail on line shops on line.

For any particular garment there are several sizes.

Each size has its own stock quantity.

I know that woo commerce has a feature for stock available for a product

But does it have a feature for stock available per size in a product (essentially per attribute for a product)

If so do you know where I can find information or plug in regarding this and also if it is already available do you support the field in your product deluxe importer.

Very much appreciate your time in answering this question

    Thanks and blessings!

    • Hi Carl, you can manage stock for the Base Product (without Variations) as well as per-Variant (e.g. Size) within WooCommerce without any additional addon.

We already support updating Variants and their Quantity but are moving to a much clearer method than our current ‘merged Product Name’ field with Category separators to one where you match up the Product Name as the Variant and use the Attribute columns to match up how they’re linked (e.g. 1 level, 2 level, etc.). We’ll be announcing this shortly to help with importing/merging of stores with variations.

  12. I need to change the SKUs of all my products. If I export the products and reimport using these modules, will the product ID be sufficient to map these as updates rather than creating new products?

    • Hi frgabriel, I’ve had a look at our merge process and it seems we don’t support updating existing SKU’s, to do this we would either need to get the Product ID (which we currently already support) and run the usual merge process or add two separate SKU import fields for merging (the first being SKU (Existing), the second being SKU (New).

We could use the Category separator character to split the contents of the SKU cell (e.g. SKU123|SKU234) where if the Category separator is detected within the cell then we treat them as two separate SKU’s (the first SKU123 being the existing SKU and SKU234 being the new SKU to be set). I can cook this into the next Plugin update if you can get back to me, thoughts?

      • Well I have a file with the Product IDs, the new SKU, and the old SKU. Since I have the Product ID already, are you saying I can do a regular merge with this as my base field and the new SKUs being mapped to the SKU field? Or do I need to wait for an update?

        • Hi frgabriel, I’ve baked in support for this in the minor Plugin update that went out moments ago, a new export column called SKU (New) appears if you have existing Products. Setting the Product ID or SKU column will match up the existing Product while the SKU (New) will update the Product with the new SKU value. 🙂

  13. Why in the hell is the exporter and importer not one simple tool? Why would I buy an exporter and then have to pay 5 times more again to import it!!!! Shakedown central.
No discounts for multiple license is just greedy business practice, if it smells like it, it usually is. People not getting replies makes me run for the exit.

I was in paypal ready to buy till I saw I needed another tool to import my work again, you give WP extension shops a bad name.

    • Hi jayman, we agree with you and future purchases as well as those who contact us for existing purchases will receive Store Exporter Deluxe as part of the importer purchase. I’ll announce this on the blog.

Back in the day – WP e-Commerce 3.6 or earlier – we built this importer with no plans for an export solution, today the majority of custom work we do is within this space. Thanks for the honest feedback, we’re really trying to do our best for store owners.

    • Just to follow up on this, there are no Product restrictions in our free Store Exporter Plugin, the Pro upgrade ($20) unlocks Orders, Customers and Coupon exporting as well as other business focused export features.

As mentioned early, we provide a free license to Store Exporter Deluxe with every purchase of product Importer Deluxe. Win win! 🙂

  14. Will this plugin work with the Advanced Custom Fields plugin? I have two text fields created with ACF and I’m wondering if they will populate if I include them in my csv file?

Can I declare sub-categories and establish parent-child relationships with the included Product Category Importer for WP e-Commerce?

Roger that, when declaring a child Category ensure you use place an '>' (arrow) character between the parent and child. With the release of 2.6.5 you can drill down up to 3 levels deep, for instance:

  • Clothes>Men>Casual within the Category column of your CSV file will link a Product to Clothes, Men (as a sub-Category of Clothes) and Casual (as before).
