Commission King adds a custom write panel to your Edit Product pages and a Settings panel to administer and pay commissions.

Once a commission value is assigned to a product, Commission King tracks all orders made through your store and prepares a list of pending payments. Commission King is even flexible enough to handle fixed or percentage based commissions.

Integrated with your store’s front-end Accounts page, Commission King enables your commission recipients to view their commission history, and update their preferred payment details.

Based on your store’s terms of sale (e.g. non-refundable after 30 days), the commission process can be easily tracked through Pending, Payable, Overdue, Paid and Cancelled. You can even pay commissions directly from Commission King, via cheque, bank transfer, or PayPal!

The latest release can be downloaded from your My Account page.

Existing customers who purchased Commission King directly from WooThemes are entitled to free updates. Create a new user account (if you haven’t already) then contact us with receipt details and we’ll issue a new Session ID to enable Plugin updates.

  1. Hi, I’ve got 2 pre-sales questions:
-Is the plugin working with the latest WooCommerce Version (Last update was 9 month ago and I need to know if I’m gonna have support in the future)
-Is there any chance to have a different comission % for sales made with a discount or coupon?
    Thanks a lot.

  2. Hello, the problem is that not count plugin variations. For example, I sold several times 5 units of a product, in another 20, but comission king always counted 1. Products are variations and understand that the problem is out there.

Otherwise seems to work very well. I wonder if you’re going to take out an update to support Wocommerce 2.1 and we can use it without problems?

    • I had the same issues over the past 6 weeks put eventually got a reply from luke. The plugin currently does not work so Ive been trying to get a fix in place with Luke, he seems to be working on this now but have not heard any news in a week.

        • Thanks Michael, I am a little confused here to be honest as right now this plugin has 3 or 4 flaws in it which make it not useable at all with V2.0.x of WC and 2.1.x of WC so I was told 2 weeks ago now that Luke was working on this as a priority so I am getting mixed messages here? Is this going to be fixed I raised 2 tickets on this about 6 weeks ago now without reply!

          • Hi allmyhoney, we’ll follow up each issue individually, to start with focusing on variation support in WooCommerce 2.0/2.1+, I’m setting up a staging site with sample products and payees to reproduce the above issues.

            • Thanks Michael, but I also just need to say I am shocked it has taken this long and I have been pretty let down by Luke in emails saying this was worked on in the last few weeks when I think its obvious it has not been. I await updates patiently here as I have been for around 8 weeks.

              • Hi allmyhoney, I realise it has been too long and we’re making changes to how we maintain Plugins this quarter, I’ve pushed the 1.3 Plugin update that resolves compatibility with WooCommerce 2.0/2.1, I’ll keep an eye on the Support Forum and Premium Support for future notices.

                • Hi Michael, I have upgraded now, still the filter by product dropdowns and date options do not show or work on the My-Account page under My commissions section? Has this been fixed?

                • Also when downloading the csv file you get this error with WC2.1.5 Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/jamjosan/public_html/uccconferencing/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-order.php on line 75

                • Hi allmyhoney, a missing meta key ‘woo_ck_product’ wasn’t being filled in the pre-3.0 releases which affected commission results, the 3.1 Plugin update I’ve released will fill this meta key with a default empty value on Plugin activation. Please update :)

                • Any fixes for 1.3.1 ? I have tried deactivating and reactivating it and deleted all old versions of the plugin – still major fatal error exists on csv download and the filter by year and month is missing from the functionality also? Thanks

            • HI Michael, unfortunately the 2 bugs I outlined are still not resolved, please see below.

              1. All exports of the csv on the my-account still give this error: Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /public_html/uccconferencing/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-order.php on line 75

              2. On the My-Account screen the filters for date range and products are not present???

              • By the way just incase this is missed I have upgraded to version 3.1 here. Major functionality seems to be missing and also the bug as I say, am testing with V3.1 of the plugin and also WC 2.1.5

                • Guys any luck here? any update at all on a fix, its been another week here and the new update has ment I have an extra issue of no user being able to download the csv file as I say. Also filtering is completely gone now? I have sent a ticket also of course but sending a ticket seems completely pointless as I have never actually gotten a reply from any ticket i send! I actually hate having to request support like this each and everytime 1 week after I report a fatal error in the plugin. It’s just something you guys should sort out really.

      • Please, Isn´t answering to me. Have mixed these two tickets. Fabivaz and Allmyhoney are two different people with two different problems. Please you can tell me something about my problem in the products with variations, and Comission King is compatible with woocommerce 2.1?

      • Hi Michael, I have not received any update in 2 weeks from forum, support ticket or comment on the plugin page about the fatal error in Commission king, any update please?

  3. This plug-in looks amazing and I know will prove tremendously beneficial to our planned use for it.

I only have one question. How does the Bank Transfer option work?
I don’t want to use PayPal but would like the commission paid fairly fast with us transferring it to their bank account on file through the CIM woothemes plug-in.

    • Hi concepium,

CK doesn’t use the CIM plugin – the bank payment is a manual process on the store owners behalf, but allows the recipients to enter bank details for the owner to view.

  4. Hi,

I would need to clarify how the commission are calculated.
Do you define the commission for all users on the product or can we define commission on a user then commission will be applied for all orders that are made under the user ?
Following my previous question (7th november), I might do without linking Salesrep (user) to customer but I need that commission would be calculated for all orders that the user is registering.
By any chance do you have a demo to see how it works ?

    Thanks for your answer

  5. Hi, i have two questions,

    1. If i have one licence, can i use that on my main domain and my sub domains?

    like this , and on
could i use 1 licence for this? or do i need to purchase multiple licences.

    2. and my second question is,

i would like for my costumers to have access to their whoocommerce shop, but not see the commissions option.
something like a admin onley mode. is that possible?

if so, than you are really the king! ;)

    Kind regards,

    • Hi Jay, no problem using your single license with sub-domains, if you do use it on another domain please support us by purchasing an additional license, this way we can support you if the need arises on your other sites. I’ll need to chat to my colleague on whether we can show/hide elements of the WordPress Administration I assume this would use custom User capabilities which we do support. Have a read about this topic and I’ll update this comment when I learn more.

  6. Hi,

I am looking for a plugin to track commission for salesrep according to the customer account and not product.
Can commission king have the option to link a salesrep to a customer and calculate commission on the total cart ?

  7. Hey,

    Great plugin.

Question, are you guys available for custom work? I may be looking for a little buddypress integration once I purchase.

  8. Hi I purchased your plugin in mid 2012 and have assigned a commission on some downloadable products. When that product is purchased however the commission does not show up in the commissions list. Can you please advise how to make this work?

  9. Hey guys,

Congrats on creating a product that everyone has been asking for, for a long time.

It all looks great, my only concerns at this point is that for a plugin the price point is quiet high. Secondly there are no ratings of the product anywhere.

Have you guys thought of a Lite version? or a trial? I know you would get more sales. Don’t get me wrong, I believe you should be paid for your hard work….

    Keep up the good work.

    • Hi Craig, thanks for your feedback. We’re still in the process of migrating comments/reviews over from our existing site, they’ll be shown here shortly. Feedback for this Plugin to date has been very positive!

Our demo sites (including Commission King) will be available for viewing next week – announced via the Blog – and we are exploring the idea of creating a Lite release of some of our Premium Plugins. Feel free to contact us directly to access our demo site prior to announcement next week. :)

  10. Hi, We have purchased the Commission king and I have a doubt. What is “adjust for discount” in the commision panel? I have to check or not? I don’t know what is tis. Thanks a lot and congratulations for your job!

    • Hi Silvia – thanks for your question.

Suppose you are have assigned a 10% commission to a $10 product. Typically when that product is purchased the commission will be $1.

But what happens if you have put that product on sale, and are offering it for $9 instead of $10? Should the commission be adjusted to the price that the product is sold at? If so, your commission would be 90c instead of $1.

The same applies if your customer uses a coupon code to get a discount on their order. If you check ‘adjust for discount’, commissions will be generated based on the sale price, not the standard price.

      Hope that makes sense!

      • Does the adjust for discount also include discounts applied to the entire purchase?

For example, if there are 3 products in the order, but only 1 item gets commission. The discount is for 50% off the entire order. Is the discount still adjusted even though there are other products included in the order?

Also, what if there is a dollar amount discount ($5 off the entire order), but there are multiple products with different people receiving the commission.

I’m running commission king version 1.0.7. On your website I see a newer version. How can I get it?

How are commission payments handled?

When a Commission Recipient logs in to their Account page, they are able to set up their payment preferences, including Paypal, cheque or Bank Transfer. Once the Commission Recipient has set this up, the store owner is able to pay them in one of two ways:

  1. Pay each commission individually. This is done on the Commissions page. Choose the payment method from the dropdown menu, and if necessary you will be redirected through Paypal to make the payment.
  2. Bulk pay commissions. This is useful if the Commission Recipient has multiple commissions owed, so that you can pay them all at once. Go to the Pay Commissions page which shows all commissions owed grouped by recipient. You can pay the total amount owed from here in the same way you pay for the individual commissions.

How is the commission ‘paid’ status updated? Is automatic or you have to change it manually?

If you are using Paypal, once the payment has been completed Paypal sends you back to your WordPress admin screen. Commission King then uses Paypal’s API to know if the transaction was successful, and if so, will automatically update the commission status to paid.

If you are using bank transfer or cheque payments, you are able to mark commission as paid from the payment screen.

Can a product have multiple payees?

Yes – a product can have multiple payees. It can even have multiple payments to a single payee.

Is this compatible with the Product Importer Deluxe plugin (ie. can I enter payees and commissions in my CSV?)

Commission King is not compatible with Product Importer Deluxe just yet.

Commission King comes with a Quick Start document (readme.txt) to help with installing the Plugin. Additional support can be found from the Contact page or methods below.
