No background tasks on Xbox 360 for Facebook and Twitter
During the week I quizzed Xbox Customer Support whether ‘Facebook and Twitter applications would be similar to MSN messenger using background tasks’, here’s my reply…
[...] with regards to Facebook and Twitter applications that you see in MSN messenger, as of this time, there are no added features or special features on Xbox 360. Since Facebook and Twitter was initially introduced to use on Xbox 360, Microsoft is doing their best to come up with the features same with the way you normally use on PC.
Looks like a firm, no, at least for now from the Xbox Customer Support team.
I’m hoping with enough blogging support (aka bitching) the Xbox Development team will allow for more background tasks to support real-time online social media.
Just imagine that dashboard prompt of a new comment has been left on your Facebook wall!
