Xperia users get a little treat when they open Spb Finance Entry with a “No Skin” error. This is due to Spb Finance Editor not supporting the WVGA screen resolution (480×800); what the Sony Ericsson Xperia has.

Spb Software recommend installing their Spb Finance Editor 640×480 patch but simply put, it looks crap, so I’ve gone to work on a real fix! The Spb Finance Entry patch for Sony Ericsson Xperia (and other WVGA phones).

Files

• d_skinx1.zip
• d_vga_skin.zip

Instructions

1. Ensure Spb Finance Entry is closed completely
2. Extract the d_Skin.sfes file within the archive (d_SkinX1.zip) to …/Program Files/Spb Finance/default/, replacing the existing version
3. Replace d_vga_skin.zip over the existing version in …/Program Files/Spb Finance/default/
4. Open Spb Finance Entry

That’s it! Check out all those additional pixels. This patch isn’t heaven but it’s well on the way, once vertical mode is sweet I’ll move onto formatting landscape mode which is currently a mess!
