IGN Games recently published an article announcing Activation’s Call of Duty series topped the whopping $3 billion mark in worldwide retail sales, this is huge!

Since the first release of the original Call of Duty, the franchise has sold over 55 million units worldwide.

The latest installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, generated over $500 million in sales in its first week alone.

“Call Of Duty has become one of the greatest entertainment franchises of all time,” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, Inc.

All those Call Of Duty fans out there (myself included) are all on toes waiting eager for the next release in the Call Of Duty series.
